i HEART atlanta

i HEART atlanta because African American productions like Women of Brewster's place come around quite frequently.

While the ending left a little to be desired for me, I recommend going to see it at Alliance Theater while its here until Sept. 20. I promise that as a woman of color you will see a piece of yourself in at least one (if not all) of the women of that infamous housing project. From the oversexed Eta Mae, to the comforting and faithful Mattie, their struggles and spirits resonate in us all. We are lucky to live in a city where African American productions such as this come to inspire and uplift. Support it and don't take it for granted. Grab your girlfriends and some tissue and get ready to watch a piece of you on stage.
